Puy-de-Dôme

Puy-de-Dôme is a department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of central France, named after the famous volcanic peak Puy de Dôme. The department is renowned for its volcanic landscape, including the Chaîne des Puys mountain range, which is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its capital and largest city is Clermont-Ferrand, home to the global tire manufacturer Michelin.
