Illiniza

The twin peaks of Illiniza Norte (5,126m) and Illiniza Sur (5,248m) create one of Ecuador's most distinctive mountain silhouettes. Illiniza Norte provides an excellent non-technical climb for beginners, while the more challenging Sur requires mountaineering skills and offers panoramic views of the Avenue of Volcanoes. The surrounding cloud forests and páramo grasslands teem with unique high-altitude flora and fauna.
