Kulob

One of Tajikistan's oldest cities, Kulob is steeped in history as the birthplace of President Emomali Rahmon and a center of medieval Islamic scholarship. The city features the impressive Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani Mausoleum, dedicated to a 14th-century Sufi saint, surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens.
