Bourges

Bourges is a historic city in central France and the capital of the Cher department in the Centre-Val de Loire region. The city is renowned for its magnificent Gothic cathedral, Cathédrale Saint-Étienne de Bourges, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and considered one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture. Bourges also served as an important medieval center and was briefly the capital of France in the 15th century under King Charles VII.
