Barbatuques: Body Percussion Concert

Barbatuques, the Sรฃo Paulo-founded ensemble created by Fernando Barba, brings their only French stop of the 2026 European tour to the Halle Tropisme. World-renowned pioneers of body percussion, the group uses the human body as its sole instrument โ€” clapping, chest strikes, breath, voice and vocal percussion combine to produce rhythms of remarkable complexity and richness, woven together with Brazilian traditions and extraordinary virtuosity.

The evening opens at 20:30 with DJ Ricardo Johnn spinning forrรณ, baiรฃo, coco and other gems from Northeastern Brazil, providing a warm and festive introduction before the main show.

Barbatuques are widely known for their iconic track Baianรก, rooted in a traditional chant from the Brazilian Northeast, which has become an international phenomenon through its infectious energy and countless covers and remixes. The group has also collaborated with French singer Camille, whose experimental vocal approach closely mirrors their own artistic vision, and contributed to the soundtrack of the animated film Rio 2, including the track "Beautiful Creatures".

Tickets are priced at 30โ‚ฌ. Doors open at 20:00, with DJ Ricardo Johnn on stage from 20:30. The event runs until 23:45.
