Afrovibe Dance Class with Maryam Kaba

Afrovibe is an Afro dance fitness concept built around African dance styles and squats, designed to deliver a full-body workout. The choreographies are crafted to be varied, easy to follow and gradually increasing in intensity โ€” accessible to everyone regardless of experience level.

The session focuses on energy and sharing rather than technique or performance. Benefits include a boost in energy and positivity, muscle toning, improved endurance, balance and coordination, and a confidence boost.

Afrovibe actively promotes cultural appreciation and multiculturalism, operating under the motto "EveryBODY can vibe." The concept champions self-acceptance, respect and inclusion, and explicitly rejects cultural appropriation in favour of a conscious and respectful practice.

The class is led by Maryam Kaba, a dancer and choreographer of Franco-Ivorian origin and co-founder of the Afrovibe concept. She developed the concept in Paris and Brazil, participated in the 2017 Rio Carnival alongside the renowned Vila Isabel samba school, and has been based in Marseille since 2017.

Tickets: โ‚ฌ20 general admission; โ‚ฌ12 solidarity rate (RSA, students, unemployed). Open to all, fully inclusive.
