Limoges

Limoges is a city in west-central France, located in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, with a population of approximately 130,000. The city is world-renowned for its fine porcelain production, which began in the 18th century after the discovery of local kaolin clay deposits. Limoges also has historical significance for its medieval enamelwork and serves as an important cultural and economic center in the Limousin area.
